From 13th November 2023, we are introducing a new triage appointment system.
This is a significant and exciting change for Goring & Woodcote Medical Practice and our patients. This will improve accessibility to appointments as all requests will now be triaged by a senior GP who is best placed to direct and signpost you to the correct appointment type or service
To help us manage the increasing demand for our services, ALL requests for GP appointments – urgent or routine, Paramedic minor illness appointments and Advanced Physiotherapist appointments are now triaged using our online form which will be available from 7am till 4pm each weekday.
We offer a mix of urgent on the day appointments, 3 day and 10 days appointments. These can be face to face or on the telephone if this is more convenient for you.
We understand that a small amount of patients may be unable to complete this form and if that is the case please telephone the surgery or discuss with our care navigation team at the reception desk.
How to book
- Online Form – We would advise all patients to use the online system as much as possible to minimise delays and to ensure that we are able to triage all requests effectively.
- Speaking to a care navigator, in-person, at the surgery reception. This will still involve the use of the online consulting system with all requests triaged.
- As a last resort, and for patients who aren’t able to use the online consulting platform, care navigators will fill out the online form for you over the phone. Please reserve this service for those who are genuinely not able to access the internet.
