NHS Health Check aged 40 – 74

The NHS Health Check is a health check-up for adults in England aged 40-74. It’s designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions. An NHS Health Check helps find ways to lower this risk.

Even if you’re feeling well, it’s worth having your NHS Health Check now. We can then work with you to lower your chances of developing these health problems in the future. This is a rolling 5 year programme so not all eligible patients will have their check in the first year of the service running. An information leaflet explaining all about the new FREE NHS Health Checks is available to view and download (please see below). Please contact the surgery to book your NHS Health Check.
