Self Referral

Most referrals to other clinical specialists will require you speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

Oxfordshire Age UK

If you are worried about your balance or have experienced a fall, STAY STRONG AND STEADY can help you regain confidence and stability. It is a free introductory exercise and information programme, designed specifically for older adults who are concerned about their balance. It will help to reduce the risk of falls.

They aim to be a single service for all your aches, pains and problems with muscles, bones and joints, including backs and necks (this is known as a Musculoskeletal or MSK service). Patients are able to visit their website and self refer for NHS physiotherapy without first seeing a GP

NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies

We offer a range of FREE talking therapies to over 14,000 people a year across Oxfordshire. We are part of the NHS and offer services to patients registered with an Oxfordshire GP. Most adults refer themselves, but if you are aged between 16-18 you will need to be referred to us by Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Spa and we are currently able to offer you Guided self-help/CBT on an individual basis at this stage.
