National Unplanned Pregnancy Advisory Service (NUPAS)
NUPAS has been providing surgical and medical abortions to thousands of women each year for over 50 years. They are commissioned by the NHS to provide free pregnancy advice, counselling and abortion services to patients registered with our practice.
You are able to self refer to this service directly - you do not require a GP referral for this.

UKTIS (previously the National Teratology Information Service, NTIS) has been providing scientific information to health care providers since 1983 on the effects that use of medicines, recreational drugs and chemicals during pregnancy may have on the unborn baby.

Having regular antenatal appointments is really important in pregnancy. Some of the tests and measurements have to be done at specific times, and your midwife will give you information as your pregnancy progresses. The midwife’s priority is for you and your baby to get the care and attention you need. Your appointments are also a chance to talk about how you feel physically and emotionally and to ask anything, however small, about your pregnancy.
