Please note our practice does not prescribe medication for altitude sickness on NHS or private prescriptions.
These medications such as Diamox (Acetazolamide) are considered off licence for this purpose and fall outside of the scope of the NHS contract.
As such we are not permitted to issue prescriptions for altitude sickness prevention or treatment under NHS provision.
If you require medication for altitude related travel we advise you consult a private GP or online travel health pharmacist who may be able to provide appropriate advice and prescriptions on a private basis
