GP Earnings 2016/17
(published March 2018)
It is a contractual requirement for Medical Practices to publish on their Practice website, by the end of the financial year, (ie 31 March 2018), the mean earnings (average pay), for all GPs who were working to deliver NHS services to patients during the previous financial year (ie 2016/17).
The average pay for GPs working for six months or more in the Goring & Woodcote Medical Practice for the financial year 2016/17 before tax and national insurance was £43,656. This was for 4 full time and 5 part-time GPs and no locum GPs who worked more than six months.

Dr Goode is our Senior Partner who is based at the Woodcote Surgery. He is a GP Trainer and Course Organiser for the GP Vocational Training Scheme covering the Reading and Newbury area. Dr Goode has a special interest in diabetes and obesity management. In 2015, Dr Goode was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Dr Rowe is a Partner who is based at our Woodcote Surgery. She has a special interest in women’s problems and contraception. Dr Rowe offers cervical smear screening and coil fittings (please make an appointment to see Dr Rowe first to discuss this latter service). In addition, she has an interest in the management of asthma and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Dr Rowe is the Practice representative at the South East Oxfordshire Locality Commissioning Group.

Dr Morris is our Executive Partner who is based at the Goring Surgery. He is a GP trainer and an examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has a special interest in medicine, dermatology, diabetes and palliative care. Dr Morris runs the Practice's freezing clinic, together with Dr Capo-Bianco, for the treatment of minor skin conditions. He also offers joint injections and minor surgery.

MBChB (Leeds 2005), BSc, DCH, MRCGP
Dr Capo-Bianco is based at our Woodcote Surgery. He has a special interest in orthopaedics/musculoskeletal conditions, palliative care, joint injections and minor surgery. Dr Capo-Bianco runs our monthly Freezing Clinic, in conjunction with Dr Simon Morris and Dr Simon Pettitt.
In May 2017 Dr Capo-Bianco was appointed as Clinical Director of the South East Oxfordshire Locality Group. This means that he is out of the Practice on a Tuesday and Thursday. Cover is being provided by Dr Stephen Richards and Dr Amanda Gemmill.

Dr Pettitt is based at our Goring Surgery.He has worked at the surgery previously as a GP Registrar under Dr Goode. He has a special interest in orthopaedic conditions, diabetes, joint injections and minor surgery. Dr Pettitt is also our Practice Dispensing Lead.

Dr Reed is a partner based at our Goring Surgery. She trained at Guy's King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine and also has a degree in Clinical Pharmacology from King's College London.
Dr Reed completed her GP training within the Oxford Deanery, under the supervision of Dr Simon Morris in 2016. She has interest in Women's health and Ophthalmology.
Dr Reed will also be the GP lead for the PPG

Dr Richards is a part-time salaried GP who is based at our Woodcote Surgery. He has a special interest in child health and end of life care, and also undertakes joint injection therapy. Dr Richards works two clinical days at the Woodcote Surgery (Monday and Tuesday).

Dr Angela Adams is a salaried GP working six clinical sessions per week. She is based at our Goring Surgery. Dr Adams has a special interest in minor surgery and contraception, including the contraceptive implant and coil -insertion and removal.

MBBS (London 1997) BSc, DRCOG, DCH, DFFP, Cert Med Ed
Dr Magnusson qualified in medicine from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School in 1997 and gained MRCGP whilst training with the Oxford deanery. She has a special interest in medical education and has been a GP trainer since 2006 and a Programme Director for the local GP training scheme since 2008.

Dr Gemmill is a part time salaried GP who is based at Woodcote Surgery.
She has a special interest in women's and sexual health.

Dr Sally Harley is a final year GP Registrar who is based at our Goring Surgery working alongside her trainer, Dr Simon Morris. Dr Harley joined the Practice in August 2016 and we expect her to be with us for a period of approximately eighteen months.

Dr Annie Lea is a GP Registrar who is based at our Goring Surgery working alongside her trainer Dr Pettitt.
She is currently on maternity leave.
