Patient Access


What is Patient Access?


It is used for repeat prescription ordering and routine appointment booking.


At the present time, this facility is available to all patients over the age of 16 years.  You can either visit one of our surgeries bringing with you some photo ID (passport, driving licence). Once your ID has been checked, we will issue you with a registration document. This will enable you to create your own account, via our website or click here for the Patient Access website. Clink on the link for EMIS ONLINE ACCESS. An EMIS ONLINE ACCESS screen will be displayed explaining the service and from here you can register, or if you have already registered, you can access the service.  Or you can register via our website or click here for the Patient Access website. Your online account will initially be limited to booking one appointment and can then be fully activated at the Practice when you attend for this first appointment if you bring with you some photo ID (passport, driving licence).


Booking Appointments Online

This system is available for the booking of routine Doctor appointments and warfarin blood tests. If you need to see one of our doctors urgently, please telephone the surgery. If possible and appropriate, we would ask that you enter the reason for your appointment in the box provided when booking an appointment, eg medication review, sick note. We only need a general idea – do not include sensitive or more detailed medical information. This gives us the opportunity to ensure that it is appropriate for you to see the doctor rather than the nurse. Please be assured that all details entered are secure and cannot be intercepted. Our Practice has a strict confidentiality policy for all staff.


Repeat Prescriptions

EMIS ONLINE ACCESS will give you the facility to send repeat medication requests to the surgery. You can track the progress of your request by logging onto the online prescription page. Please do not send any requests for medication not on your repeat list. Please note we still require two working days to process requests.



In the comments box, please enter which surgery you wish to collect your prescription from

(ie Goring Surgery or Woodcote Surgery).

If you usually organise your repeat prescriptions via Lloyds in Goring,

please continue with this system.



Online Access to Medical Records

We are also able to offer patients online access to parts of their medical record (coded data) - access to medications, immunisations and allergies is already available. 

To arrange this access, please contact the Practice.  You will need to complete an application form and provide photo and address ID (this will be required even if you already have online access for ordering of repeat medication and online appointment booking). 

This service is available to patients of 16 years and over.


Patient Access App 

Patient Access is now available as an app for your mobile device, so now you can access GP services on the move, as long as you have a connection to the internet.

What's more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service you can do this in your own time, day or night.
